Add a cushioned layer between your horse and a hard stable wall. Our horse stall wall padding combines a 50mm foam core with a hard-wearing 600gsm PVC fabric cover for stables, rehabilitation stalls, foaling boxes, grooming bays and horse trailers.
The standard horse stable wall pad measures 1.2m × 1.2m. Custom widths, heights and panel layouts are available for new-build and retrofit projects.
Horse stall wall padding is a foam-filled protective panel installed vertically over a solid stable wall or partition.
It creates a softer contact surface than bare timber, block, concrete or metal. It is also described as a "stable wall pad", "padded stable wall panel", "equine wall padding", "horse stall padding", "horse kick wall padding" or "horse trailer wall pad".
Our panel uses a 50mm foam core wrapped in 600gsm PVC fabric. The standard 1.2m square format works as a modular stable wall protection system, while made-to-size panels help cover unusual wall sections, doors and trailer interiors.
50mm cushioned foam core
The 5cm foam layer is designed to absorb and spread some of the energy from accidental contact with a hard wall. It is suitable for customers looking for more cushioning than thin rubber or EVA wall sheets.
Durable 600gsm PVC cover
The heavy PVC fabric provides a smooth, hard-wearing outer surface that can be wiped clean. Confirm the required cleaning chemicals with us before use; seams and fixings determine the water resistance of the installed system.
Modular or made to measure
Use the regular 1.2m × 1.2m horse stall wall pad as a single panel or combine panels across a larger area. Custom stable wall padding can be produced to match project drawings and wall dimensions.
Suitable for multiple equestrian spaces
The same padded wall concept can be specified for standard horse stalls, rehabilitation boxes, breeding and foaling stalls, grooming or tie-up areas, isolation stalls and selected horsebox or trailer interiors.
Replaceable panel approach
Individual panels can be inspected and, subject to the chosen installation system, removed or replaced without rebuilding the entire stable partition.

Standard horse stalls: add cushioning to selected lower wall areas where contact is most likely.
Rehabilitation stalls: create a padded wall zone as part of a vet-led recovery environment.
Foaling and breeding boxes: specify custom panel coverage based on the mare, foal and facility design.
Isolation stalls: use wipe-clean surfaces with a documented cleaning protocol and suitable ventilation.
Grooming and tie-up bays: protect both the wall finish and the horse in busy work areas.
Horseboxes and trailers: order custom shapes only after checking vehicle clearances, payload, ventilation and approved fixing points.
For floor protection, see our horse stall mats. Wall pads are designed for vertical surfaces and should not be substituted for a non-slip stable flooring system.
How thick is the stable wall padding?
The finished panel is specified with a 50mm (5cm) foam core, providing a substantially padded profile for vertical stable-wall applications.
What covers the foam?
The foam is wrapped in 600gsm PVC fabric. The black outer surface is hard wearing and easy to wipe, subject to compatible cleaning products and correct care of seams and fixings.
Can I order custom horse stall wall padding?
Yes. Send wall dimensions, photos, substrate details and the required panel coverage. We can quote custom rectangular sizes and project layouts.
Can this wall pad be installed in a horse trailer?
Custom panels may be suitable for selected horsebox and trailer interiors. The vehicle manufacturer or qualified installer should approve mounting locations, clearances, ventilation, payload and hardware.
How do I clean the padded wall panel?
Brush off loose dirt, wipe with water or a compatible diluted mild cleaner, rinse and allow it to dry. Avoid abrasive tools and unapproved chemicals, and inspect seams and fixings afterward.
