- AJ16 Arched Picket X Panel Practice Jumps

Standard Horse Show Jumps

Customers often find themselves torn between two types of Practice jump designs: fully open slatted panels, which can feel too insubstantial, and solid panels, which may appear overly heavy.

The AJ16 practice jump features a top section composed of slender vertical slats topped by a shallow arch, while the lower section consists of a rectangular panel reinforced with an X-shaped brace.

This split-section design strikes a balance—avoiding the complete enclosure of a solid panel, yet steering clear of the airy, lightweight feel of a purely slatted structure.

The slender vertical slats in the upper section keep the background visible, while the shallow arched top adds a soft, graceful silhouette.

The "X" configuration in the lower section shifts the visual weight toward the ground. This design provides a clear, defined boundary for the jump without requiring a solid, enclosed panel.

Configuration Options

• When paired only with horizontal jumping rails, the AJ16 resembles a standard training jump, with the "X" panel serving as a primary decorative element.

• Adding a "filler" creates a more substantial, cohesive visual presence—ideal for club-branded course designs.

• The design can also be configured with gates or water-jump accessories.

Color Schemes

The AJ16 features at least four distinct areas for color customization: the outer frame, the upper vertical slats, the arched top, and the lower "X" section.

Using high-contrast colors throughout can result in a fragmented, cluttered look; a more balanced approach is to select a primary frame color and apply accent colors to the top rail or the "X" panel.

We offer three visual palettes—"Classic Two-Tone," "Brand-Focused/Accent," and "Low-Contrast Training"—though final color specifications will be determined based on the confirmed project documentation.

We focus on four key details most visible to the client

Symmetry of the arched top (left vs. right), parallelism of the vertical bars, centering of the X-shaped intersections, and the proportional balance between the upper and lower sections.

FAQs

Can the upper and lower sections have different colors?

Yes. We recommend using one primary frame color combined with an accent (identification) color; it is best to avoid using high-contrast colors across all four structural zones simultaneously.

Is the lower X-section made of solid panels?

Yes. Our current AJ16 design features solid panels integrated with an X-shaped pattern.

Is the "filler" (base infill) included as standard?

No. Since the low-position filler affects the composition of the set and the packaging, it must be selected as a separate option.
